Rev 17:4 The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. She was holding a golden cup in her hand full of detestable things and the filth of her immorality,Jer 51:7; Ezek 28:13 Ezr 9:11; Lam 1:9; Eze 24:11,13; Eze 36:25; Rev 18:3

Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the kedoshim and with the blood of the witnesses of Yeshua. When I saw her, I was totally astounded.Hab 1:13
Rev 17:7 But the angel said to me, “Why are you astonished? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.Rev 17:1-6,8
Rev 17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and yet is about to rise up from the abyss and head for destruction. Those who dwell on the earth—whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world—will be astonished when they see the beast, because he was and is not and is to come.Ex 32:32-33; Dan 12:1 Rev 13:1-4,11,12; (contrast Rev 1:4)
Rev 17:9 This calls for a mind having wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated. They are also seven kings—Rev 17:3,7,18; Rev 13:1
Rev 17:10 five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while.Rev 17:10
Rev 17:11 The beast that was and is not—he himself is the eighth, and is one of the seven, and is heading for destruction.Rev 17:8

Rev 17:14 They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them—because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful.”Rev 2:10; Deut 10:17
